Mr Eugene Lim

Executive Advisor

Singapore Chamber of Commerce (Western Australia)

Mr Eugene Lim is a seasoned business leader with more than 35 years of experience in cross-border trade, capital markets, and international investment. He holds a degree from the Western Australian Institute of Technology—now Curtin University—where he completed his studies in the 1980s.

Before relocating to Western Australia, Mr Lim served as a Dealing Director at a Singapore stockbroking firm, where he played a key role in supporting multiple initial public offerings (IPOs) across Malaysia and Singapore. His early career in capital markets established his longstanding expertise in public listings, investment structures, and regional market engagement.

After moving to Western Australia, Mr Lim co-founded the Singapore Chamber of Commerce (Western Australia) with the endorsement of the 2012 Premier, Mr Colin Barnett. As Co-Founder, President, and Chief Executive, he has been instrumental in strengthening bilateral business relationships and facilitating investment pathways between Singapore, ASEAN markets, and Australia.

In his current advisory capacity, Mr Lim works closely with Chamber members—including IPO legal advisors, accountants, issuer managers, and company secretaries—to provide comprehensive IPO services for ASEAN companies seeking listings on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). His leadership, extensive network, and deep understanding of cross-border business operations continue to support the growth of Asian enterprises expanding into the Australian market.
